I’m a giant Disney nerd. Not just a frothy fan of the movies and the theme parks, but also an armchair historian on the life of Uncle Walt himself. I’ve even visited Marceline, Mo., where a young Walt spent his formative years – and where the lovely Main Street there inspired the titular thoroughfares you now walk down in the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. Like I said: nerrrrrd.
So when super-producers Paul Moore and Jeni Drozd told me that Friday’s final show (our third of the night, at 10:30pm EST) would be a karaoke tribute to HSN partner, Disney on Broadway I seriously almost wept.
The video you’re about to see – besides being a gripping, down-to-the-wire challenge on Friday Night Game Night – is yet another highlight of my TV career, especially the final two bonkers minutes. That’s when I seemingly forget I’m on national TV and start belting out a few Disney classics. I might dance a little, too. Trust me, this FNGN ep will make you feel ALIVE.
So that you can play along at home – or, better yet, sing-along at home — I won’t give away the classic ditties we play. Our contestant, Margaret from California, has a little trouble with the first one, but then she finds her groove.
