In ye olden days – that is, before my job at HSN changed everything — I used to cruise through life with approximately TWO PAIRS OF SHOES. Maybe some Stan Smith Adidas for play; a shiny/clunky/dorky pair of black Skechers for everything else. I know. Not exactly a tastemaker. But a funny thing happens when you suddenly make TV magic for a living: YOU NEED MORE SHOES, DUDE. So let’s kick off our latest batch of behind-the-scenes pix from Friday Night Game Night with my new Sonoma “lifestyle sneakers.” They were bestowed upon me by brilliant HSN stylist Regina Renzi, who was tasked with making me look presentable. In related news: Regina Renzi is in line for a raise. And sainthood.
Check out the bounteous FNGN prop cart. Eat your heart out, Carrot Top. By the way, the baby wipes are for my tears.
Unidentified “helper.” (Someone said his name could be Deke, the ridiculously talented, if curmudgeonly, stage manager.)
We’re working on a new game. It’s very subtle. Downright British in its dryness.
A prop for Guess My Meat. Yes, that’s a typo. But hey, if you need a name for your new band, you can’t go wrong with Pork Lion.
Lunch break! What’s the coolest thing about working at HSN? Might be the sushi chef at the Hub, our on-campus café.
This is Vance, FNGN lighting guru. He caught me reading Glamour in the Hub the other day. Hasn’t stopped ribbing me since. Love that guy.
This is assistant producer Samantha — aka “Sam” — no doubt rushing over to congratulate me on another sterling job entertaining HSN viewers from Maine to New Mexico. Or to tell me I have something in my nose. Usually one of those.
I tried to get arty with this pic of the HSN Winner’s Wheel. When guests visit our set, the No. 1 thing they ask to do is spin that sucker. The No. 2 thing they ask to do is meet Brandon the hunky cameraman and massage his Sasquatchian muscles.
Speaking of which, here’s your latest Brandon fix. And yes, he’s still single.
As always, thanks for watching & playing & reading. Friday Night Game Night is on HSN every Friday between 8-11pm EST. If you’d like MORE behind-the-scenes goodies, follow us on on Facebook, Instagram (@seandalytv), Twitter (@seandalypoplife) and Snapchat (search: seansdaly).
