Green Goddess dressing is a delicious retro recipe that is made from a host of fresh herbs like basil, parsley and chives that are then blended with zesty lemons and creamy sour cream and mayo. This recipe goes wonderfully as a dip with crudite or dressed on a green salad for a lush meal. But be warned, this Green Goddess dressing is so good you might be tempted to just lick it up with a spoon!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ? cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 4 tbsp. chopped, fresh chives
- 2 tbsp. chopped, fresh tarragon
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Directions:
Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, basil, parsley, chives, tarragon and garlic, processing with a hand mixer until smooth and scraping down the sides as necessary. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook’s Note: The dressing will thicken as it chills. Simply add more lemon juice to thin it for a dressing or use as is for a dip!
